To a friend

Soar up my dear friend
You know who you are
Soar up like an angel
Soar up like a star

Your dream's been waiting
The waiting's too long
Soar up like an angel
Soar up like a song

Don't fear tomorrow
And what it might bring
Soar up like an angel
Can't wait 'till you sing!

Romance 22x28" original oil painting by Susan Roux $1600.

  2. Susan, this is such a lovely poem but . . . . did you really mean to say "and angel" when "an angel" seemed like what you were trying to say? Tell me if I'm missing the point because I do enjoy your writings.

  4. Hi Sadn. This is a painting from Perouge, France. It is where we went directly after leaving you in Saint-Petersburg. Glad you like it!

  5. You have an interesting blog Susan. Your as gifted a writer as you are a painter. I envy you your studio with the natural light but I'm far too lazy to go out and clean snow off in the winter. Best of luck with your painting and your blog.

  8. Susan!

Lovely words for a lovely painting! I'm sure a lot of us could use them right about now. I know I can!

  10. Beautiful painting, Susan. It is obvious you are blessed with many talents - it is great the way you are sharing! I love your idea of Artists Hosting Artists - one of my favorite things is painting with a group of other artists. Great idea.
